本講義の目的は、国際的に活動できる人材を育てることを目標とする。

自分の研究を英語科学論文として執筆するにあたり、論文構成及び適切な表現ができるようになることが目標である。 This course will teach you the basic rules and methods for writing a paper for publication in an 365体育投注 language scientific journal.

英語科学論文の論理的な論文構成、表現法、図表の作り方及びコツ等を講義する。The course will focus on the format of a scientific paper, preparing effective figures and tables and grammatical rules for more effective writing.

英語科学論文

科学論文を英文で書くために必要な基礎事項について講義を行います。以下のポイントを説明します。１）論文の構成、２）適切な表現方法、３）図表の作り方、４）雑誌Ｅｄｉｔｏｒとのコミュニケーションの仕方等。　 Discussions on Fundamentals for Writing Scientific Papers in 365体育投注 covering 1) Structure of Scientific Papers, 2) Language Conventions, 3) Preparing Tables and Figures, 4) Dealing with Editors, etc.

1. 評価方法　出席?宿題、講義の最後に行う試験　Grading: Class participation,homework and Final Exam
2. 割合　　　　出席?宿題５０％、試験５０％, Class participation and homework 50%, Ｆinal exam 40%
3. 評価基準　講義の最後に内容に沿った設問を出題します。Exam based on the information taught during the lectures will be given at the end of the lectures.

講義日程の２週間前?２週間後に限り、ホームページ上に公開しますのでダウンロードしてください。Handouts will be available for download from my homepage approximately 2 weeks before the class begins until 2 weeks after the class is finished.

英語の科学論文を自分でも書くことを想定して読むこと。Practice the techniques discussed in class by writing a paper.
